During the first half of my college career, I have been lucky enough to travel many places. During my freshman year I got to go on a trip to Atlanta to learn about the field of communications through the Communication Fellows program. January of my sophomore year I got to once again travel with the Communications Fellows program, this time to Los Angeles. While in Los Angeles I learned about the entertainment business, but mainly that I do not see myself living in Los Angeles. The summer before my Junior year I won an award, the Roy W. Howard National Collegiate Reporting Competition through the Scripps Howard Foundation. This award allowed me to go to Japan for two weeks with eight other aspiring college journalists. This was my first trip abroad, but it will be soon followed with my second trip abroad. This fall I will be studying in London through Elon University.
